Boo! Garlic Mushrooms Are on the Menu 👻

Six cloves of garlic, buttery mushrooms, and absolutely no vampire invitations.🧛 Mushroom season gets a Halloween twist with this easy skillet recipe. Cremini and beech mushrooms turn beautifully golden, while garlic, thyme, and white wine build layers of savory flavor. Swirl in butter, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve up a dish that's scary good. 🍄🧄

Garlic Butter Mushrooms

Yield: 4 servings

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 pound cremini mushrooms,  quartered

8 oz beech mushrooms

6 garlic cloves, minced

2 sprigs fresh thyme

1 cup dry white wine

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Add olive oil to a large 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add cremini mushrooms and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden brown. DO NOT SALT. Add beech mushrooms. Continue to cook until soft.

Stir in garlic, thyme, and salt and pepper. Continue to cook for 30 seconds. Deglaze the pan with the wine, scraping any brown bits. Continue to cook until the pan is dry.

Turn off the heat and add the butter. Stir until a butter sauce forms. Remove the thyme sprigs and add parsley. Taste for seasonings and adjust accordingly.
